A trip to service centre.... No la... whole KL i suppose....

Hmm... what you thinking there? Yup, this is my first blog and post... Not very familiar with all these yet but... Well, I will try... Haha. Thanks for dropping by.

It was... hmm... 18th Oct, Yup. Woke up about 10 then did some programming for my NXT robot (robotics in general). My computer lags like what when i program. Well, I knew programming takes up memory and space, but no choice. This 4 years old computer, normal la right... Fed up with it about 11.30 then saved it cause putting one block (those green and orange thingy connected in parallel one) And guess what appeared?

"Insane objects" huh? Really nearly got "insaned" in waiting, and now it tells me that i have some "insaned" things in programming. But still, managed to save it.

The telephone rang. Picked it up and its my dad. Suggesting me to call the computer shop to take my printer for a repair. Don't know why, my printer made a loud clicking sound during start up and printing. And its just one year! Had been changing my printers every year... When i on it again, my sister asked me: "I heard gun shots upstairs, you watching movie?" I was like.... "What the..." She knew that i don't watch movies in computer, only she did.

Called the computer shop. I had visited their website and found that they don't repair printers. "Yup, we repair printers" thats what they said. "HP PSC series?" "Nope, we don't repair that, but we could take it to the service centre, and it's not worth to repair as the labour charge would be at least RM80, so I think you better get a new one as currently the price only ranges about 250+" I was thinking to take it there myself better... "Oh, like that ar, thanks" There is a long pause then, maybe waiting for me to say something, ok! I know exactly what they want to hear! "Ok, w ill drop by your shop later and see what we can do..." I am sure they would love this word. Haha...

Called up my father again and he agreed to take to service centre after lunch. I disconnected my printer and suddenly i remembered something. I had been calling up the teachical support before. And its a VERY GOOD experience. A Sikh guy i suppose, took my call. Lol... Lets see. "Your name sir?" "Teoh Jia Xian" Spelled 3 times to him and he is still calling me "Ok, Leoh, what is your serial number for your printer?" Nah, just ignore it, lol. "I think i couldn't help by line, I will give you the address of the service centre and they will manage fot you" "Ok.... "Jaelean" "Deldaeng", "Barkite Daemansaerae..."" I really don't even caught a single word! Ok, he spelled it to me, Bukit Damansara, Jalan "Deldeang"? Confirmed with him 3 times! He said its Jalan "Deldeang"... I didn't heard before this road name even tough i claimed myself quite familiar with KL.

After lunch, followed my father to the service centre at "Barkite Daemansaerae" and Jaelean Deldaeng". LOL! And what we saw was...

Jalan "Deldeang"!!!!! Its Jalan Gelenggang la! Well, i took this picture of beside the parking area, so its "Lorong Gelenggang". I really fed up with that guy... Took my printer to the service centre. Then, here's another story. A Malay guy took the printer an troubleshoot it. He just connected it to the adapter and... "Dak Dak Dak Dak Dak Dak" then stop for a while, and here it comes again... "Dak Dak Dak Dak Dak Dak". Those people sitting around all fell their eyes here. Lol! He quickly disconnected it and took out my ink cartridge. He checked something with his laptop and said that its unrepairable, so, its either we took another set, that is the same printer, with 3 months warranty for RM250 or take another new one to replace this set with minimal price of RM258. The new one was another printer, but I suppose the functions are the same. He speaks with an don't know what English. Its not essence, it just not clear! Can't hear a single word of English except "HP" "RM250" "3 months warranty". Lol. So I speak with him with Malay, and he speaks it well, but my father kept on communicating with him in English. So, till the end... Both sides were total blur.

Then we just look through the trade in form again, we understood what he is talking now. Its about trading in my printer and buying another brand new printer with 30% off of market price some more with full new packaging and warranty. So we decided to go for that. There is a list of printer that we can replaced with. I was just wondering how can I check the specs of the units. The reception person asked me to check them with his computer. Well... Ok! Good idea! Checked those printers with his computer. When i opened another window and decided to closed it, I clicked on the taskbar (Where those start buttons located and place where display those running programs) It has 5 Internet Explorer opened! I click on it and found sites like... Friendsters, MSN... Maybe got youtube if I am not mistaken. Lol. Next time must work with computers with Internet connections, cause it will be "always the smarter choice". Free Net surf, can curi tulang some more. As i continuing browse through, I saw a lady, suppose to be supervisor gua, asking the guy why I was there. Haha, guess what if I said "I was on duty." Lol! Some customers even asked me "Whats the date today?" "18th of Oct." They were filling up forms with those complaint dates and.... don't know la, just got a lot of details got to be filled up. So now we had decided the printer and returned my faulty printer to counter. The printer was still new, with plastic wrappers around it for scanner lid and print lid. So if who took my printer ah, really "zhap dou".

Now my father's car dashboard shows "15:15". And we were now heading towards Low Yat Plaza, to took another printer. After some bumper to bumper traffic, we reached and parked the car. We went in then... Well, it was the first time for my father and me to be in there... Was quite amazed that there is so much IT products inside. From the 1st to 4th floor, they were all IT shops! What the... Now I know why they always have IT exhibition at Low Yat. Cause its totally... IT central! Got my printer and chaoz...

Reached home and installed my printer. Well, everything was ok. Quite user friendly. Went through its user manual. Everything seems fine to me except those part setting up fax. I took out my every single telephone cable that I had, still more than enough! Haha. Was quite satisfied wth its results. I hope this printer could stay longer with me. I will intoduce more about my printer in next post.

Thanks for reading! Gotta get my dinner, byez!
